Description
Rama dam is a concrete-face rockfill dam located at the confluence of the river Rama, a tributary of the Neretva River, about 4 km from the town of Prozer in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The dam was built between 1964 and 1968 with the main purpose of producing electricity.
The hydroelectric power plant contains two 80 MW Francis turbine generators with an installed capacity of 160 MW.
In 2007, Pizzi received an important contract from the dam management company, JP Elektroprivreda of Mostar, for the supply and installation of monitoring instrumentation that allowed the automation and implementation of the monitoring system there installed.
The automated, modular, high-performance control system has been able to set a continuous reading frequency and to achieve data quality qualitatively superior to that one of manual data.
All the supply and installation activities were completed positively and received the approval of regular execution of the work by the Client.
