The Lunigiana area is one of the highest seismic areas in Northern Italy.
The threat of seismic events is mainly directed at the houses of remarkable historical and artistic interest that constitute the majority of the residences present in Lunigiana territory.
In 2008, the Municipality of Villafranca in Lunigiana entrusts Pizzi with a dynamic monitoring system for evaluating seismic effects on the structure of the Castle of Malgrate.
The provided monitoring system consists of a dynamic recorder and two biaxial and triaxial accelerometers that have allowed a constant and continuous monitoring of the structure.
The provided system was successfully installed and configured and obtained the approval and certification of regular execution by the Customer.
